Marine Security Training
CNTI offers two courses for employees of Canadian ports and marine facilities requiring security training to satisfy Transport Canada's Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSRs), which impact port authorities and marine facility operators across the country.
We'll work closely with your Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) to deliver site-specific needs aligned with your security plan and ensure optimal compliance with MTSRs to improve the security of your facility.
For Personnel with Security Responsibilities (PWSR)
This one-day mandatory course has the option of an additional day of practical training.
Content combines hands-on skills and theory on topics such as security threats, weapons and device detection, equipment maintenance and violation techniques, MARSEC level requirements, emergency preparedness, physical searches of persons and goods, as well as relevant provisions of the marine facility security plan.
For Personnel without Security Responsibilities (PWOSR)
Sometimes referred to as Security Orientation, this half-day orientation course is designed for admin staff or employees without security responsibility.
Content includes general safety orientation, basic security issues, MARSEC level requirements, recognition of dangerous substances, security system violation techniques, and behavioural patterns of persons likely to threaten security.
